Transforming Library Spaces, Systems, and Knowledge Access
At the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, I led and contributed to a series of strategic initiatives that redefined library spaces, strengthened digital infrastructure, and expanded access to knowledge resources.
Reimagining Library Learning Spaces (2020)
Envisioned and implemented a redesigned library layout to support contemporary pedagogy and evolving user behavior. The transformation introduced collaborative zones, discussion and meeting rooms, alongside thoughtfully designed individual study spaces—creating a balanced, user-centric learning environment.
RFID-Enabled Smart Library Systems (2019)
Led the selection and implementation of RFID-based technologies to enhance operational efficiency. This enabled streamlined inventory management, self-service transactions, and improved shelf organization—modernizing both backend workflows and user experience.
IIM Libraries Union Catalogue (2021)
Conceived and implemented a Union Catalogue for the IIM libraries consortium, enabling resource discovery across 20 institutions. The initiative reduced duplication in technical processing and empowered users to seamlessly locate, identify, and request resources through interlibrary loan.
Library Design for Extended Campus, Jigani
Contributed to the planning and design of learning spaces and library facilities for the extended campus at Jigani, Bangalore, focusing on future-ready infrastructure aligned with academic and research needs.
Institutional Repository & Open Access Initiatives
Strengthened the institutional repository as a central platform for capturing, preserving, and disseminating the intellectual output of the institution. This included developing workflows, promoting open access practices, and enhancing global visibility of research.
Digitisation of Pre-Independence Census Reports
Led initiatives to digitise rare and valuable pre-independence census reports, ensuring their preservation and accessibility for research. This project contributed to safeguarding historical data while enabling wider scholarly engagement through digital access.
